Test sequence
The diagnostic test checks the computer and attached peripherals in the
following sequence:
1. System test
2. Memory test
3. Display tests
4. Floppy Disk (Diskette) test
5. Hard disk test
6. Printer test
When a test is in progress, the program displays:
where TT indicates the test number, the first SS indicates the subtest
number, D indicates the drive (if tested), and the second SS indicates the
hardware status.
Subtests
The following gives details on each subtest:
System/memory
The System and Memory tests run together for about one minute. The
System test displays no messages. The Memory test displays the
following message:
where xxxxxx is the current memory location being tested. The memory
test includes conventional and extended memory.
If either test aborts:
1. Write down everything that appears on screen.
2. Press Ctrl + Pause (Break) or Ctrl + C to return to the diagnostics
menu.
3. Consult your dealer.
