Power Save Modes

This window lets you make separate power save settings for operation
by either AC power (Plugged in) or battery power (Running on
batteries). The computer detects whether the computer is connected
to an AC adaptor or running on battery power and automatically sets
the proper mode.
The factory settings for power save modes are shown below. All modes
can be set manually to accommodate individual methods of using the
computer.
Full Power Mode
High Power Mode
Normal Mode
Long Life Mode
Setting a customized power save mode
To set a new power save mode, follow the steps below.
1. Click the Power Save Mode that most closely fits the settings you
want to make.
2. Click the Create copy button.
3. A power save mode named Copy will be created. Rename the mode
as you like.
4. Edit the mode as described in the Details section described later.
Deleting a customized power save mode
To delete a power save mode, follow the steps below.
1. Select the Power Save Mode you want to delete.
2. Click the Delete button.
You cannot delete the original four Power Save Modes.
Show icon on System Tray
If you enable this option, a power saver icon will be displayed on the
Windows task bar. A check will appear in the checkbox when this
option is selected.
When the power saver icon is displayed, you can click the right mouse
button on it to display the power saver utility.
User's Manual
This is the highest performance operation
setting and is the most power consuming mode.
(Default for Plugged in.)
Performance has priority.
Performance and power saving are balanced.
(Default for Running on batteries.)
Power saving has priority.
