Turning off the display automatically

To save power, it is a good idea to set the display to turn off
automatically when you are not using the computer. You can
do this by using the Power Saver Properties to turn off the
LCD panel after a certain amount of time has passed.

Enabling the screen saver and monitor power off time

Click Start, Control Panel.

Click Appearance and Themes.

Click Display.
The Display Properties window appears.

Click the Screen Saver tab.

Select the screen saver that you want to use from the drop
down list.
