Replacing the Front Bezel Door
To replace the computer's front bezel door, perform the following procedure and refer to
Figure 4-13.
1. Align the door's hinges with the hinge pins, located at the right hand-side of the top
and bottom of the door's opening.
2. With the door open at approximately 30°, firmly press the hinged side of the door
toward the computer until it snaps on to the hinge pins.
3. Close the door, connect the power cord and all external cables to the computer, and
turn on the power.
Power Supply
This section covers the removal and replacement of the computer's power supply.
Removing the Power Supply
To remove the computer's power supply, perform the following procedure and refer to Figure
4-14.
1. Turn off power to the computer, then disconnect the power cord and all external
cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.1.) and rear bezel (refer
to section 4.2.3.), as viewed from the rear.
3. Lay the computer on its side, open side up.
NOTE: The power supply is heavy, weighing nearly three pounds. When
performing the next step, hold on to the power supply while you remove the screws,
so that the power supply does not fall and damage other components.
1. Remove the four 6/32x1/4 screws that secure the power supply to the chassis.
2. Disconnect the power cables from all components and from the system board.
