Procedure 2
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the InTouch ™ Module's LCD or LED
display functions properly. To perform this procedure, perform the following Check.
Check
Determine if anything displays on the InTouch™ LCD Module or if the buttons on
the InTouch™ LED Module flash green when Windows '95 is started.
If something displays on the LCD display, or if the buttons flash green on the LED
version when Windows '95 is started, perform Procedure 4. If nothing displays on
the LCD or if the buttons do not flash green, perform Procedure 1 in the InTouch
Module No Display Troubleshooting Process.
Procedure 3
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the buttons on the InTouch™ Module
Remote Control operate properly. To perform this procedure, begin with Check 1 and
continue as instructed.
Check 1
Determine if the problem exists with all the buttons on the Remote Control or
select buttons only.
If the problem exists with all of the buttons, perform Check 2. If the problem
exists with select buttons only, perform Procedure 8.
Check 2
(A) Test the Remote Control's batteries and replace them if necessary. (B) Test
to determine if the Remote Control operates properly.
If the Remote Control operates properly, perform Check 3. If the Remote
Control does not operate properly, perform Procedure 8.
Check 3
Determine if the original problem still exists.
If the original problem still exists, perform the Problem Definition Process. If the
original problem no longer exists, perform the Repair Completion Process.
Procedure 4
The purpose of this procedure is to determine if the Sleep button on the InTouch™ Module
operates properly. To perform this procedure, begin with Check 1 and continue as instructed.
Check 1
Determine if the Sleep button on the InTouch™ Module operates properly.
If the Sleep button on the Module operates properly, perform Procedure 5. If the
Sleep button on the Module does not operate properly, perform Check 2
Check 2
Determine if the Sleep button on the computer operates properly.
If the Sleep button on the computer operates properly, perform Procedure 9. If
the Sleep button on the computer does not operate properly, perform Check 3.
Check 3
(A) Replace the system board (refer to section 4.9.). (B) Test to determine if the
problem still exists.
If the problem still exists, contact Toshiba technical support. If the problem no
longer exists, perform the Repair Completion Process.
